The Baltimore-DC Metro Building Trades Council (BDCBT) and 1500 Gateway LLC, a Penzance affiliate, today announced they have entered into a formal agreement to implement a project labor agreement (PLA) for the construction of Penzance’s 1500 Gateway data center project located in Fredericksburg, Va.

A foundational element of the development is a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) that will cover both the stadium and surrounding hotel and restaurant districts.

The MATC is a 12-member body established by Maryland’s Apprenticeship and Training Law and Regulation.

A primary goal of the Infrastructure Pathways Project is to strengthen local hire processes within Project Labor Agreements to go beyond well-intentioned policies and produce real, measurable results.
