The International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 99 apprenticeship program is accepting applications May 5-9, 2025.

Applications are accepted once per year, in person, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at 9315 Largo Drive West, Upper Marlboro, MD  20774.

Local 99 members are stationary engineers — the backbone of building operations, ensuring that facilities across the country run efficiently and safely. A stationary engineer, also known as an operating engineer, is a highly skilled professional responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing critical building systems in hotels, hospitals, commercial buildings and government facilities throughout the DMV.
